Since the 1990s, female immigrants from Southeast Asian countries have gradually transformed Taiwan into a settler society. Simultaneously, they have encountered some problems owing to cultural difference. Under the circumstances, how do the public and Taiwan’s government treat these immigrants? The study aims to from the multicultural perspective to explore female immigrants’ cultural adaptation and local government’s relevant polices and practices. The finding was drawn from this study to enhance the more understanding of multicultural society’s goal—recognition of cultural difference and equality of social opportunity.
