This research established a "Tai-chi Quan Flow Experience Scale", having both reliability and validity, which was based on the flow experiences model developed by Csikszentmihalyi in the years of 1975 and 1990. The scale is adaptive to domestic Tai-chi Quan participants and is capable to show the extent of their relevant flow experiences. Collecting testing results from domestic samples, there were 309 effective questionnaires. After applying confirmatory factory analysis of Structural Equation Modeling, the scale in this research proved to have good convergent, discriminating validity, and reliability. The Tai-chi Quan Flow Experience Scale constructed in this research was a nine-factor, two-stage model, which includes challenge-skills balance, action-awareness merging, clear goals, unambiguous feedback, concentration, sense of control, loss of self consciousness, transformation of time, and automatic experience.
