High-level evaluation method refers to evaluating student's general academic achievement by using curriculum demands that are beyond general curriculum standards or student's cognition, as the evaluation contents. Such evaluation method forces teachers and students to apply advanced tasks in the process of language teaching and learning, which not only burdens both teachers and students a lot, but also results in fundamental shorts in many aspects of language teaching and learning, such as low learning interests, bad learning habits, weak foundations, lacking of confidence in learning languages well, and so on. This article examines high-level evaluation method from the perspective of elementary schools, offering analysis and corrections of high-level evaluation in language teaching and learning from integrating several aspects such as 'learning attitudes and habits , basic skills, general knowledge and abilities, activities and competition, and reading development'.
