This study was aimed response to rural regeneration plan after introducing the future of rural communities, emphasizing the activation of the regeneration of rural land, it is intended to be through land use planning and suitability assessments, carried out designation of rural regeneration development zone range. In this paper, the region of the Dingkan community, typical leisure agriculture and pottery industries based traditional village, and it is located in Shui-li township, Nantou County recreation resource center for tourism, very cultural characteristics of the industry and recreation development potential of rural communities. The rural regeneration development zone of the plan should be set up to pursue the vision of sustainable development in rural areas, and achieve the concept of sustainable utilization of natural resources and the balance. To achieve the above objectives, this study firstly according to the spirit of the host program, in conjunction with relevant laws and norms, combined with previous studies, conducted this study area the potential environmental assessment of recreation resources for nature tourism on Dingkan community, with elaboration of its rural regeneration development zone designation of the principles and methods. The results of this study show Dingkan community is located at a very low environmental sensitivity of the area, in environmentally sensitive areas within this region, with only the natural landscape sensitive area and sensitive geological disaster area, the results of this study at the same time the application of environmental risk rate calculation results consistent. Further incorporated including river area range, collapse region, slope sensitive areas assessment factor, etc., carried out environmentally sensitive area analysis, and finally carried out land suitability analysis overlay operations, planning to complete the rural regeneration development zone on Dingkan community.
