Asia accounted for most of the island-based cities, each cities have special cultural background, how to use their congenital resources to develop tourism will be the focus of the study. This study aims to explore the development of how Kinmen battlefield culture applies in cultural and creative industry, as well as Kinmen locals’ attitude toward this subject. The research findings will indicate the relationship between cultural and creative industry and local identity. The research adopted document analysis, secondary data analysis and depth interviews as the method of data collection to examine this issue and use induction and triangulation to verify the data. This research shows that there are three aspects that affect the use of Kinmen battlefield culture which are the background of the designers, customers’ need and business transformation. Moreover, this research also draws the conclusion of that cultural and creativity industry has the impact on local’s identity in both direct or indirect ways.
