本研究針對台北市、台中市、台南市、以及高雄市等四大都會區，以 移動觀測法，利用機車進行都市熱島效應之現地實測。由結果顯示，台灣四大都 會區之熱島現象因都市地理與人文條件不同而各具相異特徵，台北夏季午夜之都 市熱島強度為4.5℃、台中為2.7℃、台南為3.5℃，以及高雄為3.2℃。接著以台 南不同季節之熱島強度解析結果為例，顯示都市熱島中心會因時段與季節因素而 變換，在春、夏、冬季節中以夏季的溫度差最大。本文同時綜合四大都會區之都 市熱島實測解析，發現都市大型綠地與園道對於緩和都市熱島效應具有關鍵性的 影響力。 本文再根據國內外都市熱島強度之比較分析結果顯示，台灣四大都會區之都市熱 島效應現象相較於世界都市，在相同的人口條件下，熱島強度明顯偏低。這是因 為國外都市較偏於寒冷氣候，且其熱島強度大多為冬季測量值，因都市暖房之人 工熱較高之故，使其熱島強度較大，而台灣都市位居亞熱帶氣候，人工熱小、濕 度高因此熱島強度遠較寒冷氣候都市小。

　　　　　In this research, the urban heat islands of the four metropolises in Taiwan, namely Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung are surveyed by the motorcycle- traverse method. The paper demonstrates the heat island phenomena of the four metropolitan cities are quite distinct because of the various geography, population, urbanization, and so on. In mid-night, the heat island intensity of Taipei is 4.5℃, Taichung 2.7℃, Tainan 3.5℃, and Kaohsiung 3.2℃. The location of heat island center of Tainan varies with time and season. Of the three seasons, spring, summer and winter surveyed in Tainan, summer has the largest heat island intensity. The results also show in urban areas, large greened areas or parks play a key role in reducing temperatures. Finally, compared to other metropolises in the world with the same population, the four metropolises in Taiwan have smaller heat island intensities.
