題名:在職教師與準教師關切事項之探究

     本研窮的目的在探究台灣教師的關切事項,並比較在職教師與準教師關切內容之異同,並與美國Fuller等研究者所發展的教師關切事項檢核表(TCC)作比較。 總計有294名受試(包括155名準教師與139名在職教師)在研究者自編之開放式問卷「教師關切事項調查表」上,列舉出所關切的事項。 資料分析採質的研究法,總計有149項(包括在職教師75項,準教師74項)關切範圍被受試們列出。準教師與在職教師所列有56項相似,但是其中多項的關切程度則差異甚大。準教師比在職教師在下列事項上有較高的關切,諸如:班級學生人數過多、教材設備或教學資源,與家長的溝通聯繫、和學校同事間的人際關係、學生的學習與福祉,班級經營、教師的權利、義務、及聘任問題、師生關係、教學能力與方法、自己的身體健康、教師的薪水、教師升遷、校長主任的領導風格、是否受學生喜歡等。在職教師則比準教師更為關切:學生的禮貌及個人衛生整潔、學生是否完成作業、整潔秩序比賽、我是否能配合學校的行政決策、教具合適並充足、學生的秩序等。本研究的受試所高度關切的範圍中有九項是與傳統中國文化及當前台灣社會環境有關。與TCC比較、台灣教師所關切的事項有18項亦包括在TCC中,但亦有另18項則未包括在TCC中。而TCC中的項目亦有多項未被本研究的受試列為關切的範圍。
      The purposes of this study were to identify concerns of inservice and preservice in Taiwan and to contrast the content of concerns of teachers in Taiwan with the 56-item Teacher Concerns Checklist, From B (TCC), developed by Frances Fuller etc. in the USA. Data were collected by administering the Survey of Teacher Concerns, a free-response questionnaire developed by the researcher. Totally 294 teachers' reply on the survey was analyzed, which including 155 preservice teachers (female=92, male=63) and 139 inservice teachers (female=103, male=36). Qualitative procedures were used to analyze the data. A total of 149 concern items were identified (75 by inservice teachers and 74 by preservice teachers). Preservice and inservice teachers have similar concern in 56 areas, differing considerably in level of concern on many areas. Preservice teachers had higher concerns over students' academic grades, students' attitude toward learining, instructional materials, school facilities or instructional support, teachers' salary, promotion, teaching competency, opportunities for inservice training or advanced study, and whether students like me or not, than inservice teachers. Inservice teachers only had higher concern level on few items than preservice teachers such as student's manners and personal hygiene, students' completion of homework, and instructional equipment. Teachers in Taiwan expressed concern about 18 areas contained in the TCC and 18 concern statements not included in the TCC. Several items in the TCC were not listed as concerns by the teachers in Taiwan.
