The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences between the leisure sport participation and constraints of elementary school teachers in Taichung. There are 600 teachers were selected as the subjects from stratified random sampling of 4606 teachers in Taichung city. The self-compiled questionnaire 'Scale of elementary school teachers leisure sport participation and constraints in Taichung' and SPSS 12.0 software were used to record and analyze the current status. The effective response rate of questionnaires was 86%. The selected variables were described by frequency distribution, percentage and tested by t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results of this investigation are as below: The current states indicated that teachers join leisure sport once a week in the major. The sports are Outdoor-sport and ball games. The sorts are walking, badminton, jogging, swimming, sightseeing, yoga, running, cycling, table-tennis and mountain climbing, and the average cost less than one thousand dollars per month. Teachers receive the leisure sport information from family and friends and join leisure sport on both holiday and workday. The sporting time is majorly from 4 to 7 in the afternoon. They take walk under 10 minutes to school and spend 31 to 60 minutes on doing Low-intensity sport. The constraints for participation are weather, time with family participation, partner, court and work issue. Results also indicated that there are significant differences among genders, position and level of education.
