期刊是現今各學門發表研究成果的重要管道之一，透過對期刊論文的觀察與分析，可以略窺一個學科的研究概況與發展趨勢。《漢學研究》創刊於1983年，是國內很重要的人文研究學報，亦為國際漢學界知名的學術期刊。其內容包含中國文學、歷史、哲學等研究範疇。本文係以書目計量的方法，針對《漢學研究》自1983年創刊號迄第26卷（2008年），計55期所刊載之歷史類論文408篇，分析其研究主題、作者性別與所屬地區、語文、引用型態，及圖表利用等，以一窺歷史學在此二十幾年來的發展趨向，以及國內外學者關注的主題與研究方法之特色等。 研究結果顯示，《漢學研究》以刊登歷史類論文居多，研究主題斷代部分以「明清史」為主，專題史部分以「思想及學術史」居多。《漢學研究》歷史類論文大部分以中文撰寫，且幾乎全部包含附註或引用書目，然文中使用圖表不算普遍。論文多半由作者一人單獨創作，男性占大多數，而作者所屬地區具國際性。

Periodicals are one of the important channels for publishing research in any field. Through observation and analysis of journal articles, we can glimpse a general picture of the research into a subject and the trends in its development. Chinese Studies, a Taiwanese journal first published in 1983, is locally an important journal of the humanities as well as an internationally-renowned Sinological periodical. It covers categories of research including Chinese literature, history, and philosophy. Focusing on the 408 history articles in the 55 issues of Chinese Studies published between 1983 and 2008, this paper uses bibliometric methods to analyze research themes, author’s gender and region, language, type of citation used, and use of charts and tables, in order to get an idea of the trends in historical studies over the past 26 years, the subjects in which scholars have been interested, and the features of their research methods. The result of this research shows that the majority of articles published in Chinese Studies fall into the history category. The historical periods most covered are the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the major specialism are of intellectual and academic history. Most of the articles were published in Chinese, included footnotes and a bibliography,but made infrequent use of charts or tables. Almost all of the articles were written by a single author, and the majority of authors were male, with both local and international scholars represented.
