The improvement and innovation of teaching method should be a teacher’s fundamental skill. Particularly, nowadays, in such an educational trend where creativity is greatly emphasized, teachers should seek the innovation of teaching content and strategy, and to integrate creative teaching into their courses. The purpose of this study is to explore the teaching effect of “Creative Music and Movement” course. The result of this study is expected to serve as a reference for improvement in teaching and to offer some relevant information for general education music teachers in the future. Through a teaching survey using questionnaires, the researcher of this study would like to know the effect of “Creative Music and Movement” course. The findings of the survey are as follows: (1) This course enhances the students’ rhythmic ability. (2) This course enhances the students’ teamwork and interpersonal relationships. (3) This course enhances the students’ learning motivation. Based on the above-mentioned conclusions, the researcher the following suggestions for music teaching in general education: (1) While implementing creative music courses, the teachers should focus on the principles about creativity instruction (2) Hands-on courses are suggested in order to boost students’ learning motivation.(3) Interactive music courses are recommended in order to promote interpersonal relationships. (4) Teachers should utilize the of the efficiency of music in order to provide students with a wide variety of selections of leisure activities.
