This paper is to search and discuss the poetry image of Huren in Tang Dynasty through the use of ”Hu-” related words as described for the races and people of border regions.? We will find in Tang poetry the term ”Hubing” (soldiers of Huren) reflected the tension between Huren and Han Chinese. ”Huhing” was also a term in lieu of the border battlefield, and was a common referent for the enemy after the Great Revolt of An-Shi. Mainly for their appearance of shape quite different from Han Chinese, the word ”Huren” linked the people and their features, including bearded face, deeply set eyes with high nose, curly hair and so on. As for the term ”Huji” was showed, exotic women came to reside in cabarets of Chang-an, the capital of Tang Empire. ”Huji” linked to the young of Change-an, and also linked with the poet, showing singing and dancing in Huren's fashion and in particular ”Huxuan/Huteng Dance” once flourished in Tang Dynasty. The word ”Huseng” was to present the exotic monks well-informed and faith extraterritorial combination of mystery, and to show idiosyncrasy and special features to spiritual side? Finally, the ”Hushang” word described an image for rare and pricey commodities carried by Huren's merchants through sea and waterways to the southern ports of China.
