The History of the Social Life in the Wei, Jin and Six Dynasties by Zhu Daiwei, et al. has twelve chapters and fifty sections. The first chapter is an introduction to the social life in the Wei, Jin and Six Dynasties from the perspectives of the historical background, class structure, clan organization, grassroots political power, etc. From chapter two onto chapter eleven, a variety of social life is described, with a wide range of food, clothing, housing, transport, weddings, funerals, religions, gods, ghosts, festivals, entertainment, education, medicine, etc. The last chapter is the portrayal of the social life of ethnic minorities (the Huns, the Di, the Qiang, and the Xianbei). This paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter one is the foreword. Chapter two is the characteristics and strengths of the History of the Social Life in the Wei, Jin and Six Dynasties, with five sections: a. enlightening and inspiring contents, b. detailed and objective research, c. the book notices the similarities and differences between the North and South, and the rich and poor, d. it also notices the cultural exchanges brought together by ethnic integration, and e. it makes good use of historical data, with abundant reference.
