麥克盧漢(Marshall Mc Luhan)和德布雷(Régis Debray)對媒介的不同理解導向不同的時空觀念。麥克盧漢更為偏重空間向度,而德布雷則注重對主義、信仰的"傳遞"研究,分析社會組織在"傳遞"中的關鍵作用,聚焦于時間向度。二人雖無法走向合流,但在技術這一層面的思考卻存在交集,由此展開對人文主義的反思。
What’s the role of technology and media in human society? Can the existence of human beings isolated from technology and media be perfect? How does the real world,in contrast with the Platonic world,involve in the space-time format programmed by technology and media? This paper tries to discuss Marshall Mc Luhan and Régis Debray ’s different notions space-time based on their different understandings of the media. Mc Luhan focused on the spatial dimension. Debray emphasizes the transmission of doctrine and faith,analyzes the key role of social organizations in the transmission,and focuses on the time dimension. Although Mc Luhan and Debray move in different paths,they intersect at the point of technology in rethinking humanism.
