團體中產生了什麼而促使團體產生治療性或有助於改變的機制，是許多團體實務者與研究者關心的課題。本研究特根據作者過去所做的一系列基礎性、探索性的研究結果，發展「團體治療性因素」量表。研究對象以研究者所徵得的17個機構、25個團體，共289人爲對象，進行團體結束後之立即團體評量。在因素分析方面，本量表共取得八個治療性因素，分別命名爲：認知性的獲得、對團體的正向感覺、行動力的引發、自我坦露與分享、共通性、利他性、家庭關係的體驗與瞭解、以及建議的提供，可解釋變異量爲36.7U。最後正式量表共有題項57題、採李克特式六點量表評量。在信度考驗方面，結果發現「團體治療性因素量表」各因素之内部一致性介於.75至.94之間，顯示本量表具可接受至良好之内部一致性。在效度考驗方面，本研究採用MacKenzie(1983)的「困體氣氛問卷」與Stiles&Snow(1984)的「過程評量問卷」爲評量效度之指標。結果發現本量表所評量之團體治療性因素普遍具投入性與正向性，部分因素具逃避性、順暢性、與深入性，無因素具衝突性與激動性。此外，在區辨性效度方面，本研究發現團體治療性因素與反治療性因素間部份存有負相關，其中「對團體的正向感覺」因素對反治療性因素具有抑制的動力，而「共通性」與「家庭關係的體驗與暸解」因素則不具此動力。

Although group studies seem to appear very promising, little research attention has focused on basic studies, such as examining therapeutic factors in groups. Previous studies have not conducted such research, perhaps in part due to the lack of inventories to assess these types of therapeutic factors. This investigation was to develop and validate a scale of the Group Therapeutic Factor Inventory. Two hundred and eighty-nine subjects from 25 groups at 17 institutions participated in this study. Results supported the factorial validity and reliability of the scale. The concurrent validity of the scale was also supported by its correlating with the GCQ, SEQ, and the ATQ significantly. Implications of the results for group practice as well as further research are discussed.
