Under the objectives for initiating the concepts with business operation as well as improve the efficiency of administration in public institutions, knowledge management is beneficial to improve the efficiency and quality of performance; therefore, it has became a reforming tool used to pursue administration innovation in public organizations. The police institutions, one of public organizations, are law executors and take charge of two major missions, maintaining public order and upholding traffic safety. It truly demanded immediate attention to apply knowledge management effectively to improve work performance as well as to ensure people's rights and interests. The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of personal traits and knowldege management, and realize the relationships among personal traits, knowledge management perceptions, and job performance among people handling traffic accidents. Data collected from a questionnaire survey were analyzed by factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analysis. Results indicated that perceptions of personal traits, knowledge management and job performance among people handling traffic accidents were at a moderately high level. Secondly, significant differences were found partly in the perceptions of personal traits and job performance. Thirdly, there were significant relationships among personal traits, knowldege management perceptions, and job performance among people handling traffic accidents.
