一項重新檢視台灣分配政治的全國性調查研究發現，在單記不可讓渡投票制（single non-transferable vote system，以下簡稱SNTV）制度之下，選民對於選區立委帶回補助利益的確有相當高的期待，而小規模立法委員選區（立委人數較少）的選民比中型或大型規模選區的選民有著更強烈的企盼。本文延續這樣的實證基礎，以台灣在SNTV立委選制時期，小規模選區的選民為調查研究對象，進一步深入探索在SNTV制度之下，這些小規模選區選民對於立法委員為地方爭取經濟利益的期待與評價，以更完整的實證證據確認過去關於台灣分配政治的研究發現。 調查結果發現，超過九成七的小規模選區選民認為立委積極爭取補助是他們應該要為地方做的事情，接近五成的受訪者認為選區立委不需要參加地方活動。小規模選區選民對於盡職或不盡職於地方利益的立委評價趨向極端化，對於盡職的立委給予極高的評價，對於不盡職的立委給予極低的評價。雖然受訪者通通屬於本研究所定義的小規模選區選民，但是立委員額只有一位的選區選民所表達的意見較為強烈，並且與其他員額數的選區選民意見有相當程度的不同，例如他們強烈感受到選區立委透過各種不同的方式與選民接觸；他們認為立委會照顧選區內所有的選民；認為立委與縣市長同等重要；他們除了透過自己的選票之外，也會企圖影響親友投票來獎勵為地方利益盡職的立委；他們除了透過自己的選票之外，也會想透過連署罷免這種強烈的方式來處罰沒有為地方利益盡心盡力的立委。

A prior nation-wide survey regarding distributive study in Taiwan turned back to the starting point of distributive theory to ask if, to what extent, the constituencies in Taiwan expect their legislators in the Legislative Yuan to bring home the bacon. Findings of that survey show that respondents residing in the districts where the number of legislators is limited tend to express relatively strong opinions on pork barrel. The current study further explores this issue by surveying the constituencies who are from small districts under the SNTV system in Taiwan. The statistical results of this study show that more than ninety-seven percent of small-district respondents agree that their legislators should try any way possible to satisfy local interests. Moreover, the respondents express strong opinions toward their legislators in the manner that they highly appreciate those who are enthusiastic on pursuing generous benefits for the locals, while acutely condemning the more disinterested legislators. Furthermore, these phenomena vary depending on the district size. The smaller the districts, the stronger opinions the residents have. Respondents from single-member-districts express the strongest opinions.
