資通訊科技發展快速,透過網路連結每個使用者,人與人之間的交流方式不斷改變。近幾年造成熱門話題及快速被使用者們所接受的莫過於YouTube、Facebook、Twitter 這類社交網絡服務(SNS, SocialNetwork Service 縮寫)特質的網站平台。社會網絡透過這些新興服務在網路上快速成形與發展,進一步加深網路使用者藉由網路工具達到擴展網絡、傳遞消息至或政治運動參與行為。本文概略整理近年來興起之社交型網站類型,介紹其特色與相關研究,並描述網路使用者如何透過網路媒介達到社會參與的特色。
