In recent years, there is a growing popularity in Taiwan on the rise of public awareness on health and fitness club. It has changed the way the public view leisure and lifestyle. The public health response to this wave of popularity is to increase the participation of the health club membership and engage in fitness activities. However, although these health club members are keen to engage in fitness activities, the degree is still different. This article is written from the perspective of serious leisure theory analysis which indicates the overzealous fitness health club members and how their personality effect their choice of leisure activities. Integration of the relevant research literature classification found that the current health club members, most of who do not belong to serious leisure, are called casual leisure. This means that there is still space to develop for the health club. Whilst the concept of people's leisure and fitness habits remains to be discussed, the goal of regular exercise must be promoted.
