近年來人們越來越重視休閒活動，透過休閒活動的參與，將可使人們對自我產生認同感受。本文以文獻分析的方式探討自我認同之內涵及概念，期許可瞭解該採用何種休閒涉入的方式參與，自我認同感受才得以被加深。研究發現，若在休閒活動中形成「次文化」的概念，除了可達到個人身心恢復的狀態之外，也可幫助個人建構出更顯著的生活意義與價值。不僅如此，次文化的建立也使參與者對從事休閒活動的動機不斷增強，這種休閒態度的改變進一步將形成認真休閒，並使自我認同的發展更加快速。
People have put more and more emphases on leisure activities recently. Being involved in leisure activities can help people to build up their self-identities. This article aims to discuss the concept and the connotation of self-identity through literary analysis, and to understand how leisure involvement can strengthen self-identity.Researches have found that when the concept of “subculture” is formed in the leisure activities, it will refresh physical and mental condition and also increases the value of personal life. In addition, the forming of subculture will enhance the participants to strengthen their incentives to conduct leisure activities. This kind of attitude change will create serious leisure, and also speed up the development of self-identity.
