現今社會型態趨向少子化，每個孩子都是家中的傳家寶。正因為如此，在學校教育培養學生品格的過程中，學生在面臨壓力與競爭時，相當在意勝敗輸贏，為了獲勝而不擇手段的情形更是層出不窮。長期以來，運動員精神並無統一的定義；因此本文嘗試描述運動員精神的輪廓與概念，供體育教師或教練參考，並進一步將運動員精神落實在大專體育教育的實際應用上。
As a result of low birth rate in our society, every child is extremely precious in the family. Children in such a society would care very much about winning or losing when facing competition in school education. Winning at all costs become a prevalent attitude among children. For a long time, there is a lack of definition for sportspersonship. The purpose of the current article was to describe the concept of sportspersonship to provide a guideline for of physical education teachers and coaches so that they can apply the concept in physical education in college level.
