題名:日本籍國際學生在臺灣中部大學適應議題之個案研究

本研究是要了解日本籍國際學生在臺求學時遇到的問題和適應情形,以及相關的支援系統是否足夠。研究對象為臺灣中部某大學的三名日本學生,本研究透過深度訪談、參與式觀察、文件分析等方式來蒐集資料,研究期程歷時四個月。研究結果發現,日本籍國際學生在生活、語言、學業、社交上的適應現況及對支援系統的看法如下:一、 生活適應議題:(一)覺得臺灣的污染較日本嚴重;(二)覺得宿舍設備不足;(三)跟不同國籍的室友有溝通及生活習慣差異的困擾;(四)女生會想念家人、日本節日氛圍、日本食物及泡湯文化;(五)不適應臺灣人的飲食習慣及生活習慣等。二、 語言適應議題:(一)覺得中文的說最難,四聲會影響聽說部分的理解;(二)在遇到中、日文有同一個字但意思卻不同時,會造成理解上的困難;(三)上專業課程或日常生活對話時,覺得中文困難;(四)聽不懂臺語;(五)覺得中文課程不符合期許等。三、 學業適應議題:(一)對用中文上課的理解度不高,且聽不懂專業術語;(二)課堂上不好意思舉手發問;(三)在分組上課時不敢參與討論;(四)預備及討論分組報告時幫不上太多忙;(五)對中文的熟識度高低影響上臺報告的緊張、恐懼程度等。四、 社交適應議題:(一)女性間,室友及同系所的日籍朋友較常聯繫;男性日籍朋友間較少聯繫或一同參加活動;(二)與臺灣朋友在課業及生活上的互動密切;(三)因學校活動、課程或住宿安排而能認識更多其他國際學生;(四)未曾遭到歧視或惡意對待;(五)與臺灣異性朋友互動頻繁,與日本籍或其他國籍的異性互動較少。五、 支援系統:熟知學校的支援系統,但受中文能力限制,無法自行上網取得獎學金資訊。最後,本研究針對接納國際學生的大學與未來的研究提出相關的建議。
Due to the trend of Chinese learning and the scholarship offered by the Taiwanese government, more and more international students come to Taiwan for higher education. Meanwhile, they have encountered many adjustment problems. Therefore, this research aims at studying the adjustment issues of Japanese international students at a university in central Taiwan through in-depth interview, participant observation, and document analysis upon participants for four months. The research indicates that Japanese international students in Taiwan have the problems of living adjustment, language barriers, academic adjustment, and social adaptation. Their opinions on the supporting system of the university are also mentioned. Based on the findings, six suggestions are made for the universities in Taiwan with international students. In addition, some suggestions are provided for future researches.
