The purpose of the study was to explore the influence of the teachers' sleep quality on emotional intelligence and discover the moderating effects of sports participation level in Luzhu District of Taoyuan City Elementary Schools. Teachers enrolled in academic year 105 in Luzhu District of Taoyuan City were selected to participate in this study by the quantitative survey. Using the stratified proportional sampling, there were totally 486 questionnaires delivered, 469 were returned with 440 valid responses received and 90.53% effective questionnaires. After questionnaire responses were received, the Pearson product-moment correlation analysis was done by the SPSS 19.0 Chinese version. Simple linear regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis are conducted various ways, and the results were shown as below. Teachers with the higher level of sleep quality tended to have better emotional intelligence. The higher sleep quality the teachers possess, the higher "self-emotion awareness," "other's emotion awareness," the better "management of emotion" and "use of emotion" they could get. Under the moderating effects of "movement frequency" and "exercise intensity," sleep quality had positive influences on emotional intelligence and other's emotion awareness. Finally, based on the study results, it provided specific recommendation for educational administration and school units.
