The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between the health promotion lifestyle and the related factors. The sample of 208 hospital volunteers was selected from the volunteers of one district teaching hospital in southern Taiwan. The data of 208 hospital volunteers was collected by the questionnaire. The 170 valid questionnaires were achieved, and the effective questionnaires rate was 82%. The main results of the research were as following: 1. There were significant differences for both the degree of health education and the service hours a week toward the health status of the volunteers, and there were significant differences for the age and the service hours a week toward the health concepts of the volunteers. The most frequent item of health promoting lifestyle was eating habits, and the least item was the health responsibility. There were positive correlations between both the perceived health status and the health concepts toward the health promoting lifestyle. The variables of the health concepts, the perceived health status, the kinds of main service of volunteers, and service hours per week of the volunteers could effectively explain the variance of health promoting lifestyle, and the most influence variable was the service hours per week of the volunteers.
