The purpose of this study is to find out the current status of school engagement for college students. The study is using survey techniques. The “learning engagement scale for college students” was applied to the college students. The samples were drawn from 2247 students who are currently studying in a university in the central part of Taiwan. The findings are as follows:
1. The level of school engagement for college students is moderate.
2. No significant differences were found on genders in school engagement.
3. Significant differences were found on different grades in school engagement.
4. No significant differences were found on different type colleges in school engagement.
Finally, based on the findings of this study, suggestions were provided to the related educational institutions and future research.
