     本研究目的旨在探討師院學生對於科學本質的教學態度,並分析不同數理背景學生對科學本質的了解以及對科學本質之教學態度的差異。研究樣本包括臺中師院大四學生數理系學生73人,非數理系學生60人。研究結果發現:(1)數理系學生對科學本質的了解(總量表)以及科學知識本質了解(分量表二)顯著高於非數理系學生。(2)不同數理背景學生對科學本質之教學態度,無論是自在程度、需求、時間,都沒有顯著差異。(3)對於「科學本質之教學態度(總量表)」以及「科學知識本質之教學態度(分量表二)」,科學本質了解程度之主要效果具有顯著差異,而數理背景未達顯著差異。(4)對於「科學方法本質之教學態度(分量表一)」,科學本質了解程度、數理背景以及因子之間的交互作用都未達顯著差異。(5)對於「科學事業本質之教學態度(分量表三)」,在科學本質的高分組,數理系學生比非數理系學生具有較為正向的教學態度。但是在中分組與低分組,數理系學生比非數理系學生具有較為負向的教學態度。數理系學生的教學態度隨著科學本質了解程度的降低而 傾向較為負面。
     The purpose of this study was to explore the Tai-Chung Teachers College students'attitude toward the teaching of nature science and analysis the understanding of the nature science held by the students of major science-mathematics (N=73) and non-major science-mathematics(N=60). The findings of his study were the following: (1)The students of major science-mathematics was significantly better than the students of non-major science-mathematics in the understanding of the nature science (total scale) and the nature of scientific knowledge (subscalesII). (2)There were no significant difference between the major and non-major of science-mathematics in the students' attitude toward the teaching of nature of science. (3)There were a significant affection in understanding the nature science. The academic background had no significant difference. (4)There were no significant difference of understanding the nature science and academic background in the attitudes toward the teaching of scientific method (subscals I). (5)In the group of higher score of the understanding of nature science, the students of major science-mathematics had more positive attitudes than the students of non-major science-mathematics toward the teaching nature of scientific enterprise (subscals III). In the group of middle and lower score of the understanding of the understanding of nature science, the students of major science-mathematics had more negative attitudes than the students of non-major science-mathematics toward the teaching nature of scientific enterprise.
