The purpose of this study is to explore the abused women's experiences of applying protection order. The in-depth interview was conducted 22 voluntary interviewees. Data analysis adopted the open-coding system. The results indicated that the abused women showed very little knowledge about the protection order and the main psychological mechanism for them to apply for the protection order was the intolerance to the violence behaviors. In addition, the study showed the interaction among the abused women and the members in the domestic violence network, as well as the hardships during and after the process of applying for protection order. According to the research findings, suggestions were made for institutes of marital violence to provide better services and for the government to renew the law.
