Since three “Students’ Satisfaction” surveys held a National Taitung University during 2000-3, almost administrative department has improved practice and upgraded the quality of service. The results of these investigations show that student’s satisfaction with administration departments substantially increase. As the most recent survey shows, among all the administrative departments, students had the highest satisfaction with the library; while among all the academic departments, the Graduate Institute of Education and Department of Early Childhood Education satisfy students most. This study also found that, contrary to students of previous years, students now pay more attention to issues about student teacher’s training, teacher’s screening test, and employment. The multiple system of teacher’s training and the current imbalanced supply-demand mechanism in the labor market may be responsible for student’s sense of uneasiness and crisis. In addition, the study discovered six major categories of student’s dissatisfaction: 1. poor facilities and management 2. impropriate fee system 3. poor service and efficiency insufficient communication 4. insufficient communication 5. lack of employment training, information and counseling 6. other institutional factors.
