National Taitung University (NTTU) had previously conducted "Survey of Student Satisfaction with School Administration" eleven times from 2000 to 2012. Based on the results from five-point Likert scale, the average student satisfaction rating with school administration increased from 3.02 in 2000 to 3.28 in 2009, 3.33 in 2010, and up to 3.55 in 2012, which showed that the effectiveness of administration in Jhihben Campus had been improved. In 2012 Survey, the Library was rated 3.74, still the highest among all administrative units while the Office of Academic Affairs was ranked the lowest with a rating: 3.28. With regard to the satisfaction with undergraduate programs, the Department of Applied Sciences (Chemical) was ranked the highest with a rating: 3.83 whereas the Department of Art Industry was ranked the lowest with a rating: 3.01. Regarding graduate programs, Graduate Program of Language Education had the highest rating: 4.81. Students' satisfactions with education facilities and living environment in Jhihben campus had greatly increased by comparison with the satisfaction level in previous two years. In respect of the faculty satisfaction with administrative units, the Library was still ranked the highest with a rating: 3.59 and Office of Teacher Education was ranked the lowest with a rating: 3.09. In the open-end questionnaire, students' complaints and suggestions for Jhihben campus were substantially reduced by comparison with those of previous two years. Major complaints and suggestions included: 1. Jhihben campus is still in need of some improvements. 2. School should provide more information for students on employment and postgraduate study. 3. The attitude of many administrators is still not satisfied and may be improved.
