Confucius adopted an attitude “I follow the Chou Civilization”, and weakened the phase of religion, thus made Confucianism a scholarly fundamental character. In order to respond the challenge from Buddhism and Taoism, Ju Si (朱熹) – the Confucianist in Song Dynasty (宋朝) who established the system of “Neo-Confucianism”. Ju Si expounded the idea “Confucianism as a religion”, intensified the contents of religion in Confucian thought, strengthened belief, self-cultivation, commandments, ceremony, sacred canon, Confucian Tao system etc., from that time on, Confucian involved the essence of Pan-Religion, consolidated Confucianism as a prevail thought in government, and Buddhism and Taoism were associated. This thesis elaborated 1. Ju Si studied Confucianism and Buddhism together in his early years. 2. Ju Si abandoned Buddhism and devoted to Confucianism. 3. The problems of Confucianism in that times. 4.Ju Si created an idea “Idea is one, but diversified”. 5. Ju Si consolidated the idea of religion for Confucianism. 6. Ju Si announced the idea of spirit. Concludingly, Ju Si had done splendid devotion to Confucianism for its religion revelation.
