The Wei Jin Dynasties were in the period of dramatic changes in Chinese politics, thoughts and religions. The fusion of heaven, ghosts, witchcraft, and religious thoughts had a crucial impact on the consciousness of the “reciprocate” .On the basis of Confucianism, traditional retribution, revenge, and retribution were added in the “Chengfu” theory of Taoism “Tai Ping Classic” and “ Karma Retribution ” theory of Buddhism. Many kinds of thoughts collided with each other, gradually became an unique and popular Samsara retribution concept affected extensively for a long time. This article wants to explore the formation, transformation and integration of the concept of “reciprocate” in this period, and selects the Six Dynasties mystery novels as the text. Hope to explore the interpersonal interaction norms and value of times reflected by the “reciprocate” behavior from the “reciprocate” narrative of the mystery novels.
This article takes Lu Xun's “Ancient novels collecting notes” as the main text and uses “Soushenji”, “Xuqixieji” and “Yuanhunzhi” to analyze the form features of the “reciprocate” narrative of Six Dynasties, deeply analyze the core concepts that form the “reciprocate” behavior. Through text analysis, the “reciprocate” behavior originated from the “witchcraft” mind of primitive thinking and its behavior must conform to the principle of “interaction compensation”. This article summarizes the three collective consciousnesses of the “reciprocate” narrative of Six Dynasties, namely "Benevolence and Ethics”, “Clan and Law” and “God, Religion and The ordeal ”. Based on this, this article discusses the mystery novels of Six Dynasties and observes the track of the transformation and integration from the “reciprocate” concept.
