本文主要是從人工流產醫療決策隱含的道德難題反省醫病關係的影響力，尤其是人工流產醫療技術本身具有許多道德爭議，醫療人員是否有權力拒作人工流產施術？輕易或迂迴地協助安排醫療施術程序上，透露著對人工流產的價值涉入，使醫病關係互動間，無法以簡化和沉默的共謀來保持價值中立。況且不同方式的人工流產技術，涉及終止不同發展階段胎兒的生存權，過程中對胎兒的遭遇與事後對死胎的處理方式，都難以一一涵括在事前告知的醫療諮詢責任中，該如何顧及人工流產等醫療決策時醫病雙方的權益保護，醫療人員有責任先行練習此議題之醫療倫理思辨，以尋求平衡醫病關係定位中倫理責任的可能出路。
This article is exploring the influence of medical relationship when patients and medical persons encounter the abortion dilemma about ethic issues. Whether medical persons have the right to refuse to provide abortion surgery reveals personal values on abortion involved in medical relationship. Besides, different ways of abortion depend on different stages of embryo or fetus development, and therefore pregnancy termination causes an issue on the right to subsistence for the fetus. Also, how the fetus would be treated afterwards is hard to be included as a responsibility of pre-abortion consultation. How to protect the rights and interests of both patients and medical persons during decision-making on abortion issues becomes a critical task in the consultation. Medical people have to think in advance about the ethic issue and to find possibilities for a balanced position in the medical relationship.
