喪親兒童諮商中悲傷經驗改變歷程之研究
摘要
本研究旨在探討喪親兒童諮商中悲傷經驗的改變歷程。採取發現取向研究,由研究者擔任諮商員,進行三位國小四、五年級喪親兒童的個別諮商,諮商過程加以錄影,並轉錄為文字稿,再依據研究者所發展之「兒童悲傷諮商歷程分析系統」,就諮商歷程資料進行個案分析。研究發現如下:
(一) 喪親兒童的悲傷經驗會反映在諮商過程中對於遊戲或創作作品所敘說的故事上,而對遊戲或活動媒材的選擇、以及對遊戲過程與作品的評價,比較容易反映其目前關切的主題。
(二) 當喪親兒童經驗難過、罪疚或焦慮時,會採取自我防衛,以減低痛苦;當罪疚或焦慮得以舒緩,喪親兒童即能再度經驗悲傷,並朝向解決悲傷。
(三) 喪親兒童諮商中悲傷經驗改變的主軸是:由敘述故事人物的生死議題轉入敘述已逝親人的生與死,在回憶過去與生死議題之間反復經驗喪親的痛苦,藉由經驗而逐漸適應喪親的孤單、失落、匱乏、甚至是獲得,而在適應喪親情境的同時,也在探索與已逝親人新的連結方式。
(四) 不論現實上家庭經濟能力如何,喪親兒童均會有經濟匱乏的憂慮;當繼存父母處理家庭經濟問題的方式,未顧及子女的身心發展階段時,可能加深喪親兒童的經濟憂慮。
(五) 健康憂慮並不是每個喪親兒童在諮商中都會出現的議題,但是對於悲傷經驗尚需要藉助遊戲或活動等媒材作象徵性表達的兒童而言,與死亡議題有關的生活軼事會引發並增高的死亡焦慮,使其出現健康憂慮。
本研究者就前述研究結果加以討論,建構喪親兒童諮商中悲傷經驗改變歷程架構圖,並提出後續研究與實務上的建議。
Change Process Research in Grief Counseling
with Bereaved Children
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to explore the change process of grief experience in grief counseling. Discovery-oriented research was employed, the researcher took the role of both counselor and researcher. Three bereaved boys, age 10-11, received 19, 14, 12 counseling sessions. The counseling process were videotaped and transcribed for later analysis. The transcribed sessions were analyzed using " The Children Grief Counseling Process Coding System". A Case study was utilized to present the change process of grief experiences in counseling.
The following findings were induced (1) the bereaved children were able to express grief by verbal communication and play activities; (2) the death issue was disclosed in fantasy storytelling firstly, and then the memory about the deceased was present; (3) the children were experiencing sad, guilt, and anxious when remembered of the deceased and disclosed the death issue repeatedly, and the defense mechanism was used to free of pain; (4)at the same time, the children gradually adjusted to the an environment in which the deceased is missing and explored the connection with the deceased. (5) economic issue was important concern for all three children, but healthy issue. The conceptualization frame of change process of grief experiences in counseling was proposed.
The results were discussed, and suggestions for further research and implications for counseling practices were proposed.
