本研究主要目的在瞭解各國教育(初等教育、中等教育、高等教育在學率與三級教育在學率),與貧窮指標(包含預期壽命無法至40歲比率、無法運用到乾淨水比率、無法獲得衛生服務比率、無法接受健康服務比率、5歲以下低重兒比率、國民所得、文盲率)之間的關係。本研究將運用結構方程模式探討貧窮指標對教育指標之間的因果關係。最後,再根據貧窮指標與教育指標將65個國家區分為高度、中度與低度貧窮國家,並檢定這些國家正確性。根據研究結果發現,本研究進一步提出減少貧窮策略,使得貧窮人口減少。
