This study was aimed to discuss the needs of facility services in multifunction gymnasiums with the athletes of 2008 National Intercollegiate Athletic Game as the research subjects, through the exercise of structural equation modeling, it was able to framework model of facility service needs of a multifunction gymnasium and analyze the linear correlation of this model. The initial results indicated that corrections were needed for the model, seven observed variables have been deleted. After further correction, the construct validity was statistically fit and acceptable. The results showed that gym facilities, its affiliated equipments and service staff had extremely close relationship. The facilities in fields and equipment shall be well managed in the sports event, such as National Intercollegiate Athletic Game, in order to provide efficient and professional services. It is also suggested that pre-event training of service staff is extremely important. The service staff can assist referees run the progress of sports competition, help moving the equipment out the field, keep the competition field in order, answer simple questions and etc., if service staffs obtain adequate training before the sports event. Further related research can be proceeding with 2009 National Intercollegiate Athletic Game in order to have comparison data.
