階級是軍事文化的核心價值,透過文化的規範性功能,將對軍人的角色模塑產生重要影響。本文採理論形式的民族誌社會學的分析途徑,將重點是放在與軍人角色模塑關係密切的階級與象徵符號上。軍隊是一種具有高度科層化和制式化的組織,同時軍隊也是一個重視象徵符號的組織。在軍事社會化過程中,階級是角色模塑的重頭戲。由於軍隊在日常生活、訓練、勤務等一切活動裡,將代表階級意義的象徵符號融入人際互動中,隨時隨地來進行對士兵的角色模塑。因此,在分析軍事社會化的模塑技術時,對於受化者與施化者的互動,如何透過象徵符號來達到角色模塑的目的,或許符號互動論有助於釐清階級、符號和角色之間的關係。以期透過施化者與受化者對階級符號的象徵互動,可以觀察軍事文化對軍人角色模塑的影響,以及軍事社會化是如何透過階級與象徵符號,來操作角色模塑的技術。
The rank that is the core value of military culture performs an normative function to mold officers and soldiers how to play their military roles. In this essay, the analytic approach for investigating the molding technique about casting servicemen in a mold of military role, the author gives attention to the military stratification and the symbols of rank implications with a view of formally theoretical ethnography of sociology. Armed forces are the organizations that have characteristics of bureaucracy、formality、collectivity and emphasizing signs. For such organization, the rank has important influences for role molding on soliers' socialization at military institutions. In every day life, any where and any time, lots of the signs of rank through symbolic interaction molds officers and soldiers to play their military role. Therefore, from a view of the symbolic interaction of subject and object in the military socialization, this paper explores the molding technique of how to operate the symbols of rank implications in casting the characterstics of military role.
