目的：本文旨在探討癌症新近喪偶者（配偶過世一個月到近一年半間）的哀悼心理和復原歷程。方法：研究場域位於南部某醫院安寧病房，以深度訪談法和現象心理描述法，瞭解癌症喪偶者心理反應經驗。共有十位受訪者參與研究（三男七女），喪偶時平均年齡為46歲，每人接受三至四次訪談。結果：經資料沉浸閱讀、多重比較和現象分析，發現癌症新近喪偶者的心理反應經驗歷程，包含「想像體的縈繞」、「象徵界的轉化」和「人常關係的裂合」三大脈絡主題。討論：有受訪者處於想像體；有進入象徵界；有重返真實生活，呈現異質性，可知新近喪偶者悲悼體驗，是擺盪在「情感相依的共變」和「倫理行動的延擱」之間。本文最後提出心理反應經驗的兩個中介因素，亦即「從感官到時態」和「從存有到流變」的反思探討。
