In the baseball games, the concepts of cut-off, relay, cover and back-up are several very important elements for the fielding training. In this paper, we design and implement an animation based sport tactical simulation platform for the baseball "relay and cut-off play" training. This software transfers the situations in the cut-off play into an object model, allows users to choose the ball fallen location in the ball field arbitrarily and to select four different scenario options. There are "hit status," "number of outs," "runners on bases," "hit or out," and simulates the playing steps by an animation after finishing the players' action decision making processes. Due to this system treats each player as an independent individual object, and generates the players' defense moving and base running paths as well as the ball throwing trajectories. Each object in the ball field is activated by the "ball object" after the pitcher has delivered. It'll be very easy to develop many other similar athletic tactics systems by using this animation assisted platform.
