This thesis aims at analyzing classic style of Cheng Chou-yu based on research method of linguistic stylistics by using statistic regression. It shows that Cheng Chou-you tends to use classical Chinese lexicon. Loan words are rarely seen in Cheng's poems. In addition Cheng prefers combining two characters into new words to create classic style. When new words come together with classical Chinese lexicon, classic style turns to be very distinctive. Classical styles arisen in modern context created by using lots of modal particles seems to be easy to read and pronounce. From the perspective on syntax, Cheng's use the classical Chinese sentences abundantly in his poems. However Western sentence structure also well diverse the poems. Moreover inversion of Western sentence with classical Chinese lexicon produces effects similar to the classical Chinese. Further tricola remind readers of Song Poems (宋詞).
