Recreation has focused more on schemes of recreational and industrial activities, or fields of historical perspectives, but less on issues of recreational space. To fulfill the gap, the study was set up to explore fields of recreational time and space, and adopted the theory of social space from Lefebvre to discuss the impact of the production of space to the reproduction of local recreational space and cultural space. The theory of social space from Lefebvre is spatial practices, representations of space and representational space, which is to comprehend social space structure and also brings a significant change in the theory of cultural space. The study was based on Lefebvre's theory and focused on recreational space; then, the researcher took the surrounding areas in Shenghsing Station in Sanyi as a sample, and used the reflective method to investigate the process of reproduction in cultural space. The reflective method is a basis of perspectives and attitudes to show the responsibilities for professionals and future sustainable development of the surrounding areas in Shenghsing Station. In addition, the study was to explore spatial practices in the surrounding areas in Shenghsing Station during the period of developing Tung Flower Village by the spiral dynamics of spatial practices, representations of space and representational space, to discover how spatial practitioners reproduced representational space, to transfer the ideal of space into the solid practice, and to form recreational space structure in Shenghsing Station. As it continually practiced the production of space in the daily life, it clearly showed that the process in the reproduction of cultural space and spatial power structure.
