It is more and more common for Taiwanese male to marry foreigner. Among those foreign brides, lots of them came from Southeast Asia. These women not only have to adjust themselves to live in Taiwan but also have to deal with the differences in culture, values and ethnics. Moreover, some of them suffer anxiety, fear and other mental problems after they become pregnant in Taiwan. This study was conducted via questionnaire and survey on Southeast Asian pregnant females. We interviewed those women on how they suffered from both mental and physical pressure during pregnancy. We use purposive sampling method and collected data from 142 females in 4 hospitals in HsinChu, Yunlin. The collected data were analyzed through the SPSS11.0. Results: (1) Most foreign brides are from Vietnam. (2)The top 3 symptoms from clinical studies are: My breast is swelling. I like tasty food. I like certain kind of food. (3) The top 3 stress from those women are: I am worried there would be something wrong with my baby. I am worried about my baby when I am in labor. I am worried about my baby's health. The results of this research can be used as refernce for nurses in clinical practice. We hope the quality of live of those foreign brides can be improved by our more understanding of their problems.
