The purposes of this study was to arrange the scoring standard for each technical action of volleyball and offered more objective scoring style for volleyball research. This study consists of six technical actions (service, reception of service, set, attack, block and rescue) and each technical action included 6-7 technical performances. All the technical performances were checked by the national level coaches, and the technical performances were modified according to their suggestions. There were 100 subjects drawn form the Taiwan College Volleyball League Match in 2008. All the subjects were requested to set the scores of each technical performance, and calculated the mean of each technical performance. The mean score of each technical performance was the score standard. The Cronbach α values of the six technical actions were ranged form 0.71 to 0.89. The validity was used by criterion related validity. The scores gained and lost in each set drawn from the 19 sets of the Beijing Olympic Game in 2008 were the criterions. The results showed that the correlations attained significant level. According to the results, the counting scores standard had acceptable reliability and validity.
