The aims of this study were to investigate the relation of recreation sports attitude, constraints, experience, and the feeling of well-being of the students in Tamsui area and to construct a causal relation model of these variables by SEM. 490 Subjects who were the day-school undergraduate students of Tamkang University, Aletheia University, and St. John's University were selected by stratified random sampling and were asked to finish a questionnaires. There were 375 effective questionnaires were collected (76.5%). Data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and SEM. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The recreation sports attitude, constraints, experience, and the feeling of well-being of university students conformed to all fit indexes. 2. Recreation sports attitude had a direct and significant impact on recreation sports experience; moreover, recreation sports experience had a direct and significant impact on well-being. 3. Recreation sports attitude had an indirect but positive influence on wellbeing through leisure sports experience. In sum, to promote the feeling of well-being of the university students, the acquirement of recreation sports experience was the key factor. This result also could be a significant reference for the goat developing and practicing of physical education and sport pedagogy of Taiwan in the future.
