The purpose of this study was to understand a new immigrant resident family child’s preschool adjustment, taking the dyad concept of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory. Data collected from field observations over a -12-week period, and Preschool Adjustment Scale. The results included: ) the dyad of teacher-child was more important than the dyad of motherchild in the process of the preschool adjustment; ) “balance of power” and “affective relation” were interconnected in the child’s preschool adjustment.
