This study tried to explore issues between Japanese language education and teacher education through analyzing Japanese language teachers' job descriptions. With advanced analyses of Japanese language education essence, its developments and overall understanding of teachers' career planning; this study summarized the followings as key points to further studies. 1. Feedback from curriculum and goal. 2. Coverage of Japanese language education. 3. Career planning abilities of Japanese language teachers. 4. Potential problems and strategies. Japanese departments shall be seen as an organization that requires effective management. For a longer term and sustainable management of Japanese language education in Taiwan, both teacher education and career planning should no longer escape from its social responsibilities potential problems.
