The purposes of this study are to explore the school teachers toward teachers’ union related problems (eg., teachers support degree, participation, organization, operation, and development). To achieve the objectives mentioned above, this study surveyed 500 teachers from 34 elementary and high schools in Kaohsiung City . The conclusions drawn from this study are: (1) most of teachers (78.6%) support to establish teacher union; (2) teacher can choose to join or not; (3) the chairman must be selected by all members; (4) agree to collective bargain; (5) 61% teachers don’t degree to strike; (6) supporting those candidates who are close to teachers’ advantage or teachers’ union endorsement; (7) condition system is necessary; and (8) to collect membership fees.
