The article was an attempt to develop the concepts and techniques of free time utilization for athletes. According to personal interviews with four famous coaches and three athletes in Taiwan, free time utilization was considered to be one of the decisive factors in the athletes in the athletes training effects. The contents of leisure behavior study were introduced. Based on the leisure behavior study, some ways applicable to athletes in their free time were proposed. These concepts and techniques could be employed for further studies of athletes behavior in their free time.
