     中觀學派(Madhyamika)的「空性」(sunyata)概念,自古以來便是教內外各方 學者彼此對論的焦點,而在近代中觀哲學的研究領域裡,此一概念更是激起了種種令人嘆為 觀止的理解與詮釋。古往今來這種聚訟紛紜的情形,在在都顯示了此一概念在理解上的爭議 性。本文無意在此仲裁各家之說,也不打算拉長戰線,提出任何新穎的詮釋觀點,而只準備 從《中觀論頌. 24.7 》的語法特色著手,來談一談要理解諸如《中觀論頌》之類偈頌體的 論書,我們首先要進行的工作乃是其「符號系統的結構分析」,而不是依據某一特定的詮釋 觀點來把頌文「挪為己用」。
     Madhyamika School's concept of sunyata has been the focus of scholars' argument either inside or outside Buddhist circle since ancient time. In contemporary academic field of madhyamika philosophy, this concept has further aroused many marvellous understanding and interpretations. This situation since ancient time to modern time shows that this concept has long been a point of dispute in its understanding. This paper has no intention to judge the various theories and to present any new interpretation. It inter on the basis of intends only, the semantic characteristics of the seventh poem of the 24th Chapter of Mulamadhyamakakarika, to explain that the first job to understand the poetic sastras such as Mulamadhyamakakarika is the analysis of the structure of its symbols system, rather than to take the texts of the poems for one's own use by following a particular viewpoint of interpretation.
