Few-children and much-elderly population appears to be the developing trend of current civilized nations, but it can also turn into an educational crisis waiting to happen. How to sustain this of few-children and stop it from degrading to a non-child one is now a common concern of the civilized world. It has been close to 20 years, since Japanese officials, through various seminars, attempted to formulate a legitimate policy to tackle this unavoidable situation. This article is based on practical occurrences ranging from junior/senior high to college levels, including teacher cultivation and reform training of the college of education of SAITAMA UNIVERSITY. The aim is to pick their brains regarding their ways of tackling few-children conundrum facing Taiwan today so that we can be in a better position to form a more subtle and improved policy to educate and care for these younger generations.
