Family violence has been ignored by people for a long time because it usually happened in family. Through long-term endeavor of scholars and women organizations, the law of anti-family violence was enacted in 1998. The protective orders issued by court are executed by police officers to keep women away from family violence. The research adopts the qualitative method to analyze the data collected form 10 women under family violence and 10 police officers. The research develops meaningful findings. The research findings are the following: 1. The more rational the criminals are, the more powerful the protective orders are. 2. The biggest wish of attacked women is to be away from family violence, and that makes them try to get more protection from police officers and court. 3. The attacked women have positive impression on protective order. 4. The heavy case burden of police officers will make the protective order hard to be executed. 5. Police officers have positive attitude toward the effect of protective order executed by them. According to the research findings, We propose some suggestions (included the dimensions of law revision, the law promotion, the special counseling and rehabilitation for criminals.) for law makers, policy decision makers and people who work in this fields.
