This study intended to investigate the status of learning anxiety and influencing factors with university practicum nursing students in one regional teaching hospital in central Taiwan. Research design was triangulation approach on data analysis methods, including statistics methods on closed-questionnaire data and content analysis method on open-questionnaire data. Data collection designed with questionnaires and employed purposive-sampling approach. Research data consisted of the subjects´ anthropological data, the status of learning anxiety, influencing factors of learning anxiety. We used SPSS Statistics software (for Windows) on quantitative data in order to obtain descriptive analysis results by percentage, frequency and means. Then, we used t-test and one-way ANOVA on study data to achieve results of inferential analysis. On the other hand, we used content analysis on open-questionnaire data. We visited 199 students. The mean age was 21.32(S.D.=1.05). With ending of the practice, all of the average anxiety scores of nursing students decreased. The level of anxiety degree, the highest number was “few", the first factor of anxious symptom was “subjective feeling". In the nursing clinical practicum, the anxious situations included of “team communication", “nurse-patient communication", “nurse shift report", “treatment technologies", “time management", “adapted to the teacher", “adapted to the hospital", and “confronted with medical emergencies".
